District Evaluation Pilot Advisory Committee
The District Evaluation Pilot Advisory Committee (DEPAC) is a cross-district committee comprised of a wide range of stakeholders including teachers, administrators, central office personnel, community members, union representatives, and parents. This committee is charged with providing feedback to inform the evaluation pilot and key decisions related to evaluation design and implementation. Educator Evaluation Pilot
The Educator Evaluation Pilot has had an exciting and productive first year. NPS what focused on using the pilot to learn what tools, processes, and resources are needed to create an effective evaluation system for all NPS educators.
The pilot was designed as a partnership between NPS, CASA, and the NTU with guidance from NJDOE. Last summer, NPS convened an Educator Advisory Committee composed of thirty-seven educators from schools throughout the district. The committee advised the district on communication and implementation strategies as well as ways to incorporate student growth measures into evaluation. The pilot design is based on recommendations from the New Jersey Educator Effectiveness Task Force.
